Pale Yellow Iris (Iris pseudacorus)

Pale Yellow Iris is an exotic wetland plant and in many places is considered an invasive species. It has become widespread along the Rio Grande in the Albuquerque area. This patch is on an irrigation drainage ditch at one edge of the Bosque. I didn't catch it in bloom, so I'll include a clip from an image in Wikipedia (by Muriel Bendel). The young fruit reminds me of green chiles.
